Journalist. She became active in the Social Democratic Party in 1937, and was deported to Auschwitz in June 1944. In 1945, she became a department head of the Debrecen organization of the Hungarian Communist Party, and in 1952 head of the Agitation and Propaganda Department of Kecskemét Town Party Committee. She went to work at the Budapest party centre in 1955. In 1957, she was appointed deputy editor-in-chief of the women’s weekly magazine Nők Lapja, of which she served as editor-in-chief from the spring of 1959 to 1986.
