He got a PhD degree at Loránd Eötvös University and he worked for the 1956 Institute, later for the 1956 Institute – Oral History Archive Department of the Széchényi National Library since the very beginning of his career. He is interested in the study of the contemporary Hungarian history. He has published several articles on the history and on the aftermath of the holocaust since 2013. He was active in the making of the websites Budapest100 (2011) and csillagoshazak.hu (2014) and in the organization of respective public events. In 2018 he received a USHMM scholarship. He is research fellow of the Holocaust Memorial Center in Budapest. He is editor of the websites holokausztfoto.hu which collects images of the holocaust in Hungary. Recently he studies the personal files of the relocation to the ghetto of Budapest of Hungarian Jews.
